AP 907-001, Procedure Process Description

Provides a standard process for creating and altering procedures.

AP 907-001.001-001 – Procedure Process Metrics – This standard establishes a risk based set of Procedure Program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Performance Measures (KPMs) in support of efficiently developing and maintaining quality procedures.

AP 907-005, Procedure Writer’s Manual

This document provides a consensus standard for writing human factored procedures. This standard should be used in conjunction with PPA AP-907-001, Procedure Process Description, and provides writing methods that support the procedure use guidance in INPO 11-003, Guideline for Excellence in Procedure and Work Instruction Use and Adherence.

AP 907-005-001, Functional Requirements for Advanced and Adaptive Smart Documents

This document provides a base set of functional requirements developers can use to build software tools for execution of Smart Documents that:

  • Meets the Advanced and Adaptive (Intelligent) criteria defined in EPRI Report 3002005363, Improving the Execution and Productivity of Maintenance with Electronic Work Packages.
  • Meets the Advanced and Adaptive (Intelligent) criteria defined in EPRI Report 3002005363, Improving the Execution and Productivity of Maintenance with Electronic Work Packages.
  • Builds on the EPRI Report and related INL Report NITSL-INL-2015-1, Functional Requirements for an Electronic Work Package System, by expanding the human factors requirements for computer-based documents.

This document provides a roadmap to identify the functional requirements when developing a business case for implementation of Smart Documents.

AP 907-005-002, Functional Requirements for Editing Dynamic Instructions (DRAFT)

PPA is currently collaborating with Idaho National Labs on an initiative to develop a base set of functional requirements developers can use to build software tools for editing of Dynamic Instructions.  This standard follows, aligns with and expands on the functional requirements for Advanced and Adaptive Dynamic Instructions.

In conjunction, AP 907-005-001 will be revised to use the term “Dynamic Instructions” in lieu of “Smart Documents”

AP 907-005-003, Common Digital Instruction Model for Technical Instructions

PPA is currently collaborating with Idaho National Labs on an initiative to develop a Common Dynamic Instruction Model that will provide a common platform for providers of Dynamic Instructions using digital tools to follow in development and execution of these Dynamic Instructions. This initiative began in the fall of 2018 and the goal being completion of the defining documents and publication of the new standards in 2020.
